Home With A Heart

April 19, 2008 by Jennifer Grissop Ministries

Hey Everybody!

I pray you’ve had great Saturday so far!

It has been an awesome week!  God is so faithful!!!  He never ceases to amaze me!!!  I’m so thankful that He ordained my days, before I breathed my first breath!  I’m thankful that no matter where I go – I can not be separated from GOD’s love!

Wrapped In Love debuted at #3 on the RadioActive Airplay charts for the week of April 14th!  I am so excited!

I am so incredibly blessed!  Each time God opens a door for me to join a worship service, I meet new people and I cherish each new friendship that begin night after night!  However, last night was extra special… I was in service at Home With A Heart in Liberty, SC.  WOW!  God showed up & showed out!  God is using Alex Ritchey and Home With A Heart to CHANGE men’s lives.  I was honored to have the Home With A Heart Choir join me to sing ”Victory in Jesus” and “Amazing Grace”!!!!  They sang with such conviction, I found myself just listening!  Each of these 21 men (I won’t list names, because for sure I would leave someone out) ministered to me and blessed me with their testimonies!  It was great to see Billy Dwain there!  Home With A Heart will be starting their 17 night Spring Revival next Friday, April 25th, and I plan to attend as much as I can!  To learn more about this phenomenal ministry visit:

Several new dates have been added.  If I’m in your area, please come out and worship with us!  Also, the Wrapped In Love Tour scheduled for July 11 – 20, has been rescheduled to October 31 – November 9th, 2008!  I will be with my friends at Sunny View Baptist Church (Asheville, NC), tomorrow night at 6 pm.  Come Join Us for a great time in the Lord!

Remember to pray for us daily!  We covet your prayers!

In His Grip,

Jennifer

Psalms 139 - “You have searched me, LORD, and you know me.  You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.  You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.  Before a word is on my tongue you, LORD, know it completely.  You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me.  Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.  Where can I go from your Spirit?  Where can I flee from your presence?  If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.  If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.  If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.  For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.  My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place.  When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body.  All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.  How precious to me are your thoughts, God!  How vast is the sum of them!  Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand – when I awake, I am still with you.  If only you, God, would slay the wicked! Away from me, you who are bloodthirsty!  They speak of you with evil intent; your adversaries misuse your name.  Do I not hate those who hate you, LORD, and abhor those who are in rebellion against you?  I have nothing but hatred for them; I count them my enemies.  Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.  See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”

DAY 3

Hey!!!

Trust you’re having a blessed Easter weekend!

Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve written… I’ve been a little busy, but, I promise I’ll try do better!

I sang tonight at a benefit for Amy Lee.  Please continue to pray for her!  We are believing God to heal her body!

Have you heard the news?

JESUS WAS CRUCIFIED YESTERDAY AT CALVARY!!!  He was beaten, mocked, spat upon, a crown of thorns was driven into his head, he was given vinegar to drink and nailed to a rugged cross by his hands and feet, TORTURED and then he died!  His body was then placed in a borrowed tomb.

But, (3 days later) there’s more…

Early in the morning Mary Magdalen and Mary (James’ mother) were going to see the tomb and bring spices to anoint Jesus’ body.  When they arrived behold an angel of the Lord was there & Jesus’ body was GONE!!  (Matthew 28: 5-6) “Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.  He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.”

HE IS RISEN!!!

At some point in your day today, pause for a few moments and ponder that first Easter weekend some 2000 years ago…

Friday was the darkest day!  Jesus, the very one that was praised and sought after just a few days before, the sinless, perfect Jesus, was crucified!  To his followers it seemed all their hope was gone!  Yet, even as they were grieving, Jesus was busy at work!  While they were mourning, he was visiting Satan… and during that visit he took the keys to death, hell & the grave!  Close your eyes and imagine you are Mary Magdalen… you are walking the path to his grave, but instead of a sealed tomb, you find the stone rolled away and an angel sitting atop the stone!  She gives you the message, “He’s not here!  He is risen, as he said!”  His body is gone and his grave clothes are folded in the place where he lay.  Can you imagine the fear, the excitement, the joy that such a miracle would bring???  You run to tell his disciples that he is risen!  And along the way you see Jesus for yourself.  He tells you to meet him in Galilee.  Can you imagine?  48 hours earlier you watched him be crucified, you saw them place him in the tomb and now he’s standing in front of you and you’re having a conversation!

WOW!!!

I am so thankful that HE IS RISEN!  Christians are so blessed… we serve a LIVING GOD!  He’s not a blob of cement or a gold plated statue!  He’s the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!  He’s the Alpha and Omega!  The Rose of Sharon and the Lily of the Valley… He’s ALIVE!

Do you know this RISEN Savior?  Is he YOUR personal Savior?  He loved you so much that he was willing to leave heaven and come to earth.  His only mission was CALVARY!  He knew he would be crucified before he was ever born into this world.  He knew that his death was the only way for us to be saved from HELL!  Don’t wait another day… if you don’t know Jesus, choose him today!  He’s standing there with his arms open wide, waiting to welcome you into his family!

Enjoy your day with your family & friends… but don’t forget the sacrifice that was made for your salvation… where the timbers crossed!

Jennifer

Psalms 121

March 6, 2008 by Jennifer Grissop Ministries

Hey Everybody!  Hope you’re having a blessed Wednesday!

I am so excited about my new web site!  Sign my guestbook and let know what you think!!!

I had the opportunity to visit Javon’s school on Monday for “time & talent”!  I had a blast!  I got to share with the class about adoption and how I play piano “by ear” and sing gospel music.  The kids wanted to see the recorder in my ear that allowed me to remember the notes.  Life through the eyes of a five year old… it’s GREAT!!!  I can’t wait to go back again.  They are the best K-4 class ever! One of my favorite scriptures is Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you saith the Lord; plans to prosper you and not harm you, to give you a future and a hope!”  This scripture has given me hope so many time and I find myself returning to it’s promises time and time again… when I’m facing a storm in my life, when I’m seeking direction, or when answers to my questions seem so hard to find… what a comfort to know that our heavenly father already knows the plans he has for our lives.  He loves us so much!  He knows everything about us!  From the number of hairs on our heads to our DNA.  That’s an awesome God!  What uncertainties are you facing today?  What answers are you searching for?  What burden are you carrying?  The word of God says in Matthew 11:28 -30 “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly of heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”  Whatever you’re facing today, give it to God!  He is waiting to carry your load, but, you have to lay it down first!  Psalms 55:22 says “Cast thy burdens upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”

I love each of you & appreciate your prayers!

I’ll write again soon!!!

Blessed Beyond Measure,
Jennifer

Psalms 121 – “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.  My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.  He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.  Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber or sleep.  The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy keeper; the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.  The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.  The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.  The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.”
