1 Thessalonians 5:18

I wanted to share this with you…

There was a certain Professor of Religion named Dr. Christensen, a studious man who taught at a small college in the western United States . Dr. Christensen taught the required survey course in Christianity at this particular Institution. Every student was required to take this course his freshman year, regardless of his or her major.
Although Dr. Christensen tried hard to communicate the essence of the gospel in his class, he found that most of his students looked upon the course as nothing but required drudgery. Despite his best efforts, most students refused to take Christianity seriously.
This year, Dr. Christensen had a special student named Steve. Steve was only a freshman, but was studying with the intent of going onto seminary for the ministry. Steve was popular, he was well liked, and he was an imposing physical specimen. He was now the starting center on the school football team, and was the best student in the professor’s class.
One day, Dr. Christensen asked Steve to stay after class so he could talk with him. ‘How many push-ups can you do?’ Steve said, ‘I do about 200 every night.’
‘200? That’s pretty good, Steve,’ Dr. Christensen said. ‘Do you think you could do 300?’
Steve replied, ‘I don’t know… I’ve never done 300 at a time.’
‘Do you think you could?’ again asked Dr. Christensen.
‘Well, I can try,’ said Steve.
‘Can you do 300 in sets of 10? I have a class project in mind and I need you to do about 300 push-ups in sets of ten for this to work. Can you do it?
I need you to tell me you can do it,’ said the professor.
Steve said, ‘Well… I think I can…yeah, I can do it .’
Dr. Christensen said, ‘Good! I need you to do this on Friday. Let me explain what I have in mind.’
Friday came and Steve got to class early and sat in the front of the room.
When class started, the professor pulled out a big box of donuts. No, these weren’t the normal kinds of donuts, they were the BIG, extra fancy kind, with cream centers and frosting swirls. Everyone was pretty excited it was Friday, the last class of the year, and they were going to get an early start on the weekend with a party in Dr. Christensen’s class.
Dr. Christensen went to the first girl in the first row and asked, ‘Cynthia, do you want to have one of these donuts?’ Cynthia said, ‘Yes.’
Dr. Christensen then turned to Steve and asked, ‘Steve, would you do ten push-ups so that Cynthia can have a donut?’
‘Sure.’ Steve jumped down from his desk to do a quick ten. Then Steve again sat in his desk. Dr. Christensen put a donut on Cynthia’s desk.
Dr. Christensen then went to Joe, the next person, and asked, ‘Joe, do you want a donut?’
Joe said, ‘Yes.’
it.’ And he put a donut on Scott’s desk.
Now by this time, Steve had begun to slow down a little. He just stayed on the floor between sets because it took too much effort to be getting up and down. You could start to see a little perspiration coming out around his brow.
Dr. Christensen started down the third row. Now the students were beginning to get a little angry.
Dr. Christensen asked Jenny, ‘Jenny, do you want a donut?’
Sternly, Jenny said, ‘No.’ Then Dr. Christensen asked Steve, ‘Steve, would you do ten more push-ups so Jenny can have a donut that she doesn’t want?’ Steve did ten….Jenny got a donut.
By now, a growing sense of uneasiness filled the room. The students were beginning to say ‘No’ and there were all these uneaten donuts on the desks.
Steve also had to really put forth a lot of extra effort to get these push-ups done for each donut. There began to be a small pool of sweat on the floor beneath his face, his arms and brow were beginning to get red because of the physical effort involved.
Dr. Christensen asked Robert, who was the most vocal unbeliever in the class, to watch Steve do each push up to make sure he did the full ten push-ups in a set because he couldn’t bear to watch all of Steve’s work for all of those uneaten donuts. He sent Robert over to where Steve was so Robert could count the set and watch Steve closely.
Dr. Christensen started down the fourth row. During his class, however, some students from other classes had wandered in and sat down on the steps along the radiators that ran down the sides of the room. When the professor realized this, he did a quick count and saw that now there were 34 students in the room. He started to worry if Steve would be able to make it.
Dr. Christensen went on to the next person and the next and the next. Near the end of that row, Steve was really having a rough time. He was taking a lot more time to complete each set. Steve asked Dr Christensen, ‘Do I have to make my nose touch on each one?’
Dr. Christensen thought for a moment, ‘Well, they’re your push-ups. You are in charge now. You can do them any way that you want.’ And Dr. Christensen went on.
A few moments later, Jason, a recent transfer student, came to the room and was about to come in when all the students yelled in one voice, ‘NO! Don’t come in! Stay out!’
Jason didn’t know what was going on. Steve picked up his head and said, ‘No, let him come.’
Professor Christensen said, ‘You realize that if Jason comes in you will have to do ten push-ups for him?’
Steve said, ‘Yes, let him come in. Give him a donut.’
Dr. Christensen said, ‘Okay, Steve, I’ll let you get Jason’s out of the way right now. Jason, do you want a donut?’
Jason, new to the room, hardly knew what was going on. ‘Yes,’ he said, ‘give me a donut.’
‘Steve, will you do ten push-ups so that Jason can have a donut?’ Steve did ten push-ups very slowly and with great effort. Jason, bewildered, was handed a donut and sat down.
Dr. Christensen finished the fourth row, and then started on those visitors seated by the heaters. Steve’s arms were now shaking with each push-up in a struggle to lift himself against the force of gravity. By this time sweat was profusely dropping off of his face, there was no sound except his heavy breathing; there was not a dry eye in the room.
The very last two students in the room were two young women, both cheer leaders, and very popular. Dr. Christensen went to Linda, the second to last, and asked, ‘Linda do you want a donut?’
Linda said, very sadly, ‘No, thank you.’
Professor Christensen quietly asked, ‘Steve, would you do ten push-ups so that Linda can have a donut she doesn’t wan t?’ Grunting from the effort, Steve did ten very slow push- ups for Linda.
Then Dr Christensen turned to the last girl, Susan. ‘Susan, do you want a donut?’
Susan, with tears flowing down her face, began to cry. ‘Dr.
Christensen, why can’t I help him?’
Dr. Christensen, with tears of his own, said, ‘No, Steve has to do it alone. I have given him this task, and he is in charge of seeing that everyone has an opportunity for a donut whether they want it or not. When I decided to have a party this last day of class, I looked at my grade book. Steve here is the only student with a perfect grade. Everyone else has failed a test, skipped class, or offered me inferior work.
Steve told me that in football practice, when a player messes up he must do push-ups. I told Steve that none of you could come to my party unless he paid the price by doing your push – ups. He and I made a deal for your sakes.’
‘Steve, would you do ten push-ups so Susan can have a donut?’ As Steve very slowly finished his last push-up, with the understanding that he had accomplished all that was required of him, having done 350 push-ups, his arms buckled beneath him and he fell to the floor.
Dr. Christensen turned to the room and said. ‘And so it was, that our Savior, Jesus Christ, on the cross, pled to the Father, ‘Into Thy hands I commend My spirit.’ With the understanding that He had done everything that was required of Him, He yielded up His life. And like some of those in this room, many of us leave the gift on the desk, uneaten.’
Two students helped Steve up off the floor and to a seat, physically exhausted, but wearing a
thin smile.
‘Well done, good and faithful servant,’ said the professor, adding ‘Not all sermons are preached in words.’
Turning to his class, the professor said, ‘My wish is that you might understand and fully comprehend all the riches of grace and mercy that have been given to you through the sacrifice of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He spared not His only Begotten Son, but gave Him up for us all, for the whole Church, now and forever. Whether or not we choose to accept His gift to us, the price has been paid.’ ‘Wouldn’t you be foolish and ungrateful to leave it lying on the desk?’
Dr. Christensen asked, ‘Steve would you do ten push- ups so Joe can have a donut?’
Steve did ten push-ups! , Joe got a donut. And so it went, down the first aisle, Steve did ten push-ups for every person before they got their donut.
Walking down the second aisle, Dr. Christensen came to Scott. Scott was on the basketball team, and in as good condition as Steve. He was very popular and never lacking for female companionship. When the professor asked, ‘Scott do you want a donut?’ Scott’s reply was, ‘Well, can I do my own push-ups?’
Dr. Christensen said, ‘No, Steve has to do them.’
Then Scott said, ‘Well, I don’t want one then.’
Dr. Christensen shrugged and then turned to Steve and asked, ‘Steve, would you do ten push-ups so Scott can have a donut he doesn’t want?’ With perfect obedience Steve started to do ten push-ups.
Scott said, ‘HEY! I said I didn’t want one!’
D r. Christensen said, ‘Look! This is my classroom, my class, my desks, and these are my donuts. Just leave it on the desk if you don’t want

In God’s Time

April 23, 2009 by Jennifer Grissop Ministries

Hey Everybody!

Hope you’re having a great night!

2009 has been a busy year! God is opening doors and we have been blessed to worship with many friends!

Guess what? I won 2nd place in the Southern Gospel Music Fan Fair Talent Search in Pigeon Forge, TN! I was excited!

I have some exciting news to share with you soon!

Please keep us in your prayers… we are getting closer to adopting our boys! Please pray that God’s will, will be done.

Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you saith the Lord; plans to prosper you and not harm you, to give you hope and a future.”

I am so thankful that even when my plans… my dreams… even my entire world seem to be crumbling around me – GOD is still in control. He knows my future, it’s all in his hands, and if I will be patient and trust in his promises, in God’s time, not mine, he will mend all the broken pieces and the end result will be his perfect will. I’m thankful for an on-time God!

With all the uncertainties in the world today, I’m so thankful to be held securely…

In HIS Grip,
Jennifer

PS – We will be at NQC 2009 and are looking forward to visiting with old friends and making new ones!

Come see us at Booth # 806.

… “the greatest of these is LOVE!”

February 10, 2009 by Jennifer Grissop Ministries

Good Morning!

What a beautiful day for the Lord to come again!

It’s 6:30 am… I am NEVER up this early… God must have something special in store for today. The house is quiet… Travis left a few minutes ago to take Savannah and JJ to school and Miss Tori to Nana and Papa’s, so it’s just me and Mr. Michael. He’s snoozing. Normally after I fix Savannah’s hair I go back to sleep, but not today, I just felt led to post a blog. I have no idea what I’m going to say, so I’ll just type and let God do the talking…

So… how have you been?

2009 has been a whirlwind. I can not believe it is February 10th! Seems like yesterday was Christmas! Travis & I helped Savannah & JJ write their names on Valentine’s cards last night for their class. They were so excited! Michael was not interested at all. He would have much rather watched Sponge Bob or listened to music. He’s going to Pre-School and loving it! Every morning when I drop him off he says, “Bye!” and “Play!” Some mornings if I’m lucky, I’ll get a “luv lu”. Those are few and far between. He knows what he’s there for… playing and having a great time with his friends! His personality changes everyday! It’s amazing how God created such incredible children… just for me! I sit in awe of God’s goodness. So often my mind goes back to Jeremiah 29:11 – He knows the plans he has for me – plans to prosper me and not harm me, to give me a future and hope. 1 Corinthians 13 speaks of faith, hope and charity (love)… but the greatest of these is LOVE.

Faith – confidence or trust in a person or thing; the obligation of loyalty or fidelity to a person, promise, engagement; belief in God

Hope – to look forward to with desire and reasonable confidence; the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best; to place trust; rely

Love – a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person; affectionate concern for the well-being of others; the benevolent affection of God for His creatures, or the reverent affection due from them to God

I can not imagine facing life everyday without faith, hope and LOVE. Faith in a God who has never failed me! Faith that no matter what the economic situation is… my GOD will provide! Psalms 50:10 – 15 “For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. I know all the fowls of the mountains, and the wild beasts of the fields are mine. If I were hungry, I would not tell thee; for the world is mine, and the fullness thereof. Will I eat the flesh of bulls, and drink the blood of goats? Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay the vows unto the most High: And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.” I have faith that no matter what tomorrow holds, the God of the universe will not be taken by surprise and He will make a way! Psalms 37:25 – “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” Philippians 4:19 – “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Hebrews 11:1 – “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hope in the promise that I will spend eternity with him! Psalms 39:7 – “But now, Lord, what do I look for? My hope is in you.” What are you looking today? Are you eyes upon Jesus or are you searching for hope in man? God is our hope! In Christ alone we find our future! Psalms 147:1-11 – “Praise the Lord. How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise him! The Lord builds up Jerusalem; he gathers the exiles of Israel. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name. Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit. The Lord sustains the humble but casts the wicked to the ground. Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving; make music to our God on the harp. He covers the sky with clouds; he supplies the earth with rain and makes grass grow on the hills. He provides food for the cattle and for the young ravens when they call. His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse, nor his delight in the legs of a man; The Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love.” Do you have faith that if he can provide food for the cattle and ravens that he can take care of you? God is faithful! He knows exactly what you need and he will provide if your trust him! BUT, he didn’t stop there! … “the greatest of these is love!” The love of God… where do I begin? John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world, that HE gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Proverbs 10:12 – Hatred stirs up dissension, but love covers all sins.” John 15:13 – “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” 1 John 4:8 – “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.” God loves us so much that he gave His BEST! His ONLY son! First and foremost, have you given God your heart? Have you surrendered to him? That’s the most important question… if you answered yes… Are you giving him your BEST? Psalms 9:1 – “I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will show forth all thy marvelous works.” Psalms 111: 1-10 – “Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation. The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein. His work is honorable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever. He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion. He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant. He hath shewed his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen. The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure. They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness. He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever. Mark 12: 29 – 33 “ And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he: And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.”

As you walk through life today, remember – the greatest of these is LOVE!

1 Corinthians 13:1 – 2 “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels and I have not LOVE, I am become as sounding brass or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not LOVE, I am nothing.

I love each and every one of you & I am so thankful that God has placed you in my life!

And now abideth faith, hope and love, these three; but the greatest of these is LOVE!

Jennifer

Happy New Year

January 3, 2009 by Jennifer Grissop Ministries

Hey Everyone!

I trust you had a wonderful Christmas!

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend in a cabin in the Smoky Mountains . It was absolutely amazing. We just relaxed and had a great time being together! I’ve been working a lot lately so it was great to spend some quality time with the kids! Javon and Savannah were so afraid that Santa wouldn’t be able to find them, but, I’m happy to report that he was able to find us without any problems. They were so excited when they woke up on Christmas morning to see their new toys. The best part was when Savannah and JJ sang Happy Birthday to Jesus. I am so thankful that my children know the true reason for Christmas… CHRIST!

God blessed us so much in 2008 both as a family and in our ministry. I have shared the stage with some exceptional artists: Mike & Kelly Bowling, The McRaes, Hope’s Journey, The Browder’s, Josh & Ashley Franks & Skyline Drive just to name a few. I was blessed to attend Steve Hurst School of Music in Nashville , TN and also enjoyed a week at NQC in Louisville , KY. I have met so many incredibly talented and anointed people. I am so excited to see what God has in store for us in 2009! Let come what may God is still the same… yesterday, today & forever! He’s still God. Trust him! He WILL make a way! Psalms 37:25 – “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” Someway… somehow… in HIS time, he will make a way! I have decided that let come what may I am going to walk into 2009 with a Thankful heart and attitude of expectation. I am expecting God to open doors! The word says, “I have not because I ask not!” I am asking God to open more doors for my ministry. God is faithful! So, I believe, that if I ask, in faith, believing, that he will be faithful to fulfill my request. Aren’t you glad that our GOD is not too busy to listen to our prayers? He’s not hard of hearing nor blind… he knows all, sees all, hears all… he’s always there! That’s a pretty awesome God! I feel sorry for others who don’t believe in God! They spend their time begging their gods to answer their petitions and they never get anywhere! I’m so thankful that we serve a GOD who is alive and well! He’s not buried in a borrowed tomb… he only needed it for the weekend! He’s Alive & that’s enough for me to wake up each morning with a smile on a face.

I pray your 2009 is filled with blessings greater than anything you could have imagined and that you see souls saves and lives changed like never before.

I know you’re all busy so I’m gonna close. I’ll try to BLOG again soon!

Remember…
You are held securely…

Father’s Day

June 13, 2008 by Jennifer Grissop Ministries

I hope you’re having a blessed Friday!

I was thinking today about my Heavenly Father… with Sunday being Father’s Day, I pondered, what gift can I give him?  The Bible says, “Obedience is better than sacrifice.”  Obedience – submissive behavior with respect to another person.  My prayer is: may Father’s Day 2008 find me more obedient to my Father and totally surrendered to HIS will for my life.

Tomorrow night I will be singing at Community Baptist Church in Shelby, North Carolina at 7:00 pm.  If you are in the area join us for a night of worship!

Happy Father’s Day to the BEST Daddy in the world, TRAVIS & to my Dad!  I love you!

And to all the wonderful Father’s who read my BLOG… Happy Father’s Day!

Until next time…

2 Chronicles 7:14

May 30, 2008 by Jennifer Grissop Ministries

Hey!

So, what’s really going on in your life today?

How was your Memorial Day? Mine was AWESOME! I spent the day with our friends, Mike & Virginia. They hosted a cookout for the guys at Home with a Heart! We met at their house, and enjoyed a wonderful lunch, fellowship, some singing and a game of horseshoe. (That was fun! You just had to be there! God did not make me athletic at all – just ask the guys, they’ll tell you all about my horseshoe skills. I must admit that Janet is a very brave woman… but, like I said before, you just had to be there! LOL!)

I am blessed to live in the greatest nation in the world… the United States of America! I want to say THANK YOU to all the men and women, past and present, who have sacrificed their time and all too often, their lives, so that I can live in America and I have the freedom to BLOG to you tonight! Is America where she needs to be? No! Is there HOPE for America? ABSOLUTELY!

2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

GOD is our HOPE! If we as American’s, as CHRISTIANS, will humble ourselves and pray and seek the face of God, and if WE will turn from our wicked ways, then God will hear from heaven and he’ll forgive us and HE will heal our land! HOPE is in our hands! Are WE willing to invest our time to fast and pray? Are WE willing to turn from our wicked, selfish ways and fully surrender to GOD!  (Surrender – to give up completely or agree to forgo especially in favor of another)  Have you fully surrendered your life to GOD? Have you given him complete control? Are you seeking God’s will for your life? Are you committed to spend time in his word daily? It’s up to us!

Acts 2:17 – “In the last days, God says, I will pour out my spirit on all flesh.”

What is the most important thing in your life? What are the desires of your heart? God is moving! He is still in control! He’s still SAVING souls, CHANGING lives and SETTING the captive free! Our GOD is the same YESTERDAY, TODAY & FOREVER! He changes not!

What’s going on in my life…
It’s been BUSY…
Savannah had 4K Testing yesterday… that was interesting!  She wasn’t very interested in answering the teacher’s questions.  She wouldn’t say a word.  We’ll know if she is going to 4K in a couple of weeks! Javon started Summer Camp this week.  He loves the field trips.  They are going swimming and bowling and skating… it’s going to be a fun filled Summer.  Michael went to the doctor today and got 4 shots.  He didn’t even cry!  I don’t know about you, but, if I had to get 4 shots, I would be crying!  I HATE needles!  Enough about that…

I will be in Blacksburg, SC on Saturday night at Crystal Sea Seafood.  I hope to see you there!

I love you all!!!

Thank you for your support and prayers!  We cherish each prayer that is sent up on our behalf! When you’re praying, please pray for “Second Chance Ministries”!  I’ll have more details soon… but, please pray for God’s will and blessings upon this new ministry.  God is opening doors left & right!  We are anxious to see what he has in store for the remainder of 2008.

I’ve got to run, but, I’ll be back soon!

Remember to pray for us daily!

In His Grip,
Jennifer

PRAYER REQUEST

May 18, 2008 by Jennifer Grissop Ministries

I received a phone call a few minutes ago with an urgent prayer request.  Please pray for the Cash family.  While vacationing in Colorado, Mr. Cash, suffered a heart attack.  Please pray for healing in his body as well as peace and comfort for his family, as they are over 1500 miles from home.

PRAYER still changes things & GOD still answers prayers!

So, What’s Really Going On?

May 14, 2008 by Jennifer Grissop Ministries

Hey Everybody!  Hope you’re having a peaceful evening!

How was your Mother’s Day?  Mine was wonderful!

May has been a busy month so far!  I was blessed to attend the Home With A Heart Revival 9 nights!  Anointed singing, dynamic preaching… We Had Church!  I am refreshed and revived!

The guys at Home With A Heart have a saying… “So, What’s Really Going On?”  While driving home from work yesterday, I took a few minutes and pondered the thought…  I want to share my brainstorm results with you…

In our busy lives, we acknowledge friends, co-workers and acquaintances, but do we pause long enough to listen to their reply?  Are we in such a hurry that we speak out of habit; and then without listening to their response, we move on to our next task?  I know I’m guilty!  If you walked into your child’s room and looked them in the eyes and asked “So, What’s really going on in your life?”, how would he or she respond?  You might be surprised!  So, I have a new goal: at least once a day, I want to stop and ask someone… “So, What’s Really Going On?” and then I am going to take the time to LISTEN to their response!  I’ll let you know how it goes!

On the home front…
Samantha left today.  I miss her already!  Please pray for her and her family as they adjust to their new routines.  Savannah is scheduled for her 4K screening on May 28th!  She’s excited!  She can’t wait to go to school with JJ!!!  JJ’s last day of 4K is next Friday!  He is going to Summer Camp!  He can’t wait!  Michael Isaiah, our ”Little Tornado”, is 20 months old  and into everything!  Happy 67th Birthday Daddy!

Check out the tour schedule & come worship with us! www.JenniferGrissopMinistries.com/tour

In closing, I would like to leave you with these lyrics:

If I could count all the tears that have fallen;
It would seem like an ocean to me
And if my heart were a window that you could see through
All the pain and scars you would see

But, tears will never stain the streets of that city
No wreaths of death on my mansion door
Teardrops aren’t welcome beyond the gates of glory
Cause the heart will never break anymore

Well I’ve never met one man without sorrow
I’ve never looked into eyes without pain.
But there’s a land where grief is a stranger:
And songs of joy are the only songs they sing

I have questioned the loss of a loved one.
For the grave it seems so final and cold.
But we’ll meet again where death has no victory:
In a land where we’ll never grow old.

And tears will never stain the streets of that city
No wreaths of death on my mansion door
Teardrops aren’t welcome beyond the gates of glory
Cause the heart will never break anymore

I’m glad our hearts will never break anymore!

Revelations 7:13-17 – “Then one of the elders asked me, “These in white robes – who are they, and where did they come from?”  I answered, “Sir you know.”  And he said, “These are they who have come out of great tribulation, they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.  Therefore “They are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in the temple; and he who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them.  Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst.  The sun will not beat down on them, nor any scorching heat.  For the Lamb at the center before the throne will be their shepherd; He will lead them to springs of living water.  ‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes’.”

Home With A Heart

April 19, 2008 by Jennifer Grissop Ministries

Hey Everybody!

I pray you’ve had great Saturday so far!

It has been an awesome week!  God is so faithful!!!  He never ceases to amaze me!!!  I’m so thankful that He ordained my days, before I breathed my first breath!  I’m thankful that no matter where I go – I can not be separated from GOD’s love!

Wrapped In Love debuted at #3 on the RadioActive Airplay charts for the week of April 14th!  I am so excited!

I am so incredibly blessed!  Each time God opens a door for me to join a worship service, I meet new people and I cherish each new friendship that begin night after night!  However, last night was extra special… I was in service at Home With A Heart in Liberty, SC.  WOW!  God showed up & showed out!  God is using Alex Ritchey and Home With A Heart to CHANGE men’s lives.  I was honored to have the Home With A Heart Choir join me to sing ”Victory in Jesus” and “Amazing Grace”!!!!  They sang with such conviction, I found myself just listening!  Each of these 21 men (I won’t list names, because for sure I would leave someone out) ministered to me and blessed me with their testimonies!  It was great to see Billy Dwain there!  Home With A Heart will be starting their 17 night Spring Revival next Friday, April 25th, and I plan to attend as much as I can!  To learn more about this phenomenal ministry visit:

Several new dates have been added.  If I’m in your area, please come out and worship with us!  Also, the Wrapped In Love Tour scheduled for July 11 – 20, has been rescheduled to October 31 – November 9th, 2008!  I will be with my friends at Sunny View Baptist Church (Asheville, NC), tomorrow night at 6 pm.  Come Join Us for a great time in the Lord!

Remember to pray for us daily!  We covet your prayers!

In His Grip,

Jennifer

Psalms 139 - “You have searched me, LORD, and you know me.  You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.  You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.  Before a word is on my tongue you, LORD, know it completely.  You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me.  Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.  Where can I go from your Spirit?  Where can I flee from your presence?  If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.  If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.  If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.  For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.  My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place.  When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body.  All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.  How precious to me are your thoughts, God!  How vast is the sum of them!  Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand – when I awake, I am still with you.  If only you, God, would slay the wicked! Away from me, you who are bloodthirsty!  They speak of you with evil intent; your adversaries misuse your name.  Do I not hate those who hate you, LORD, and abhor those who are in rebellion against you?  I have nothing but hatred for them; I count them my enemies.  Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.  See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
